Debate Competition July 2025
On the 10th July 2025 a group of our children took part in a debate hosted and supported by the Jackson Lees Group. The children celebrated and showed off their critical thinking, confidence and communication. The children expressed their ideas about 'Is Social Media a good or bad thing?' and 'Should we use force to bring about peace?'. A big well done to all involved.

Kitty's Launderette
Work Experience June 2025
On Friday 20th June a group of our pupils visited Kitty's in Anfield, a community Launderette, for work experience. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who showed us how the machines worked and some of our 'Grow Wild' pupils took part in a seed bomb making session, which was messy but really good fun! We helped to sort the clothes out by their colours and even loaded and unloaded washing machines and dryers. The pupils learned how it is important to be part of a community and we donated some of our plants from our school poly tunnel. We met all the staff and even visited parts of the launderette where shirts and jackets get dry cleaned by a big steam machine, it made some great sounds! The staff explained their daily routines and how they help all of their customers, everyone there really enjoyed working together as a team. We really loved our day out and we hope to visit again next year. Thank you to everyone at Kitty's.

Young Green Briton Challenge 2025
Young Green Briton Challenge 2025
On Friday 16th May a group of Year 9 and Year 10 children visited the Museum of Liverpool to take part in the North West regional Young Green Briton Challenge. To support their learning in Science and Geography about the environmental, ecological and social impacts of climate change and the importance of finding ways to take care of the world, the children pitched their idea 'Community Compost' to the judges and won! The children will take part in the National Final in London in July. Well done.
