Residential News

Spring 2024

  • Help Each Other Out Hour – this spring term the residential group have been taking an hour of their own time each week to volunteer and help others in the residential group. This has varied from learning the game of chess to more advanced skills such as learning to use the Braille Note Touch.

  • New Sensory Room – residents have been discussing, planning and creating their new sensory and chill out space in residential. This will include a calming area to take part in activities such as yoga and a new seating area.

  • Chill Factore Planning – a trip to the Chill Factore is being planned for the summer term – and residents can’t wait to hit the cold slopes in the summer heat.

  • Step into Spring - we have introduced a 'step into spring' session where residents are encouraged to walk in the school grounds and sensory gardens of an evening. Staff and pupils have been recording their steps and sharing this with Mr Bell as part of the Lenten Walk for CAFODs Walk Against Hunger.
