Jane Dixon Ceramics Residency at St Vincent’s
Jane Dixon is our artist-in-residence specialising in ceramic production. In the short time she has been with us, she has established a thriving ceramics department as an integral part of the enrichment element of the syllabus, and her work with the children has brought recognition and prestige for St Vincent’s with a visit to Westminster and 10 Downing street, and the British Embassy in Berlin.
Projects have included a winning entry in the Never Such Innocence ‘Engaging the world’s children in the First World War centenary’ competition and a Remembrance panel gifted to the Houses of Parliament, raising awareness of sight-loss. Another panel was gifted to St George’s Hall, while Virgin trains recently commissioned a piece to celebrate Liverpool Lime Street station as the ‘gateway to Liverpool’.
